From Bath, England to Berkeley, California, each place I have lived has deepened my appreciation for the evocative nature of light and reinforced in me a long-held impulse to in some way capture my experience of its mysterious qualities. Whether in beeswax on panel or mixed media on paper, the process is anything but predictable and is mostly intuitive, an improvisation. My background and ongoing involvement in the practices of music and dance/movement continues to shape and refine my sensibility while informing my relationship to the materials I work with.
