Without specific reference to an outer landscape or memory, my paintings are an attempt to encapsulate  pure emotional resonance: color, texture, the immediacy of line, specific qualities, characteristics and behaviors of the materials I paint with - tangible elements that anchor, guide and also limit the painting process. Through adventurous experimentation within an unpredictable terrain, inner senses are heightened and instinct ​awakened. Memories, ideas and impressions come and go. Intuition takes over where language and thinking fall short, while alternate ways of seeing and expressing are suggested. My paintings are intimate wanderings where the elemental forces of my own nature meets that of my surroundings.
